Thank you very much for the explination (especially why it doesnt bother Windows).
I will mount the ISO and boot from there and see if I can recover it. The owner of the VM isnt to worried about it. It was a test box for PeopleSoft 9.2 and he said he can rebuild it easy enough...
Problem is me ... I REALLY want to know the who,what,when, why and how this occured and if it can be fixed.
